Infosys and Economist Impact Launch AI-Powered Sustainability Atlas for Global Leaders

Infosys and Economist Impact have introduced The Sustainability Atlas, an innovative AI-driven tool designed to assist businesses and policymakers in navigating complex sustainability challenges. The tool leverages Infosys Topaz, a generative AI suite, to provide real-time, actionable insights that help organizations develop data-backed strategies for climate resilience, social inclusion, and circular economy practices.

“The Sustainability Atlas provides easily accessible and actionable insights to policymakers and business leaders worldwide,” said Jonathan Birdwell, Global Head of Policy & Insights at Economist Impact. “Never before have we been able to bring all of that data and insights together in one place.”

Comprehensive and Cross-Regional Insights

Built on the foundation of 18 Economist Impact indices and over 1,700 data indicators, The Sustainability Atlasaggregates insights from more than 500 expert reports to deliver a detailed, cross-geography comparison of sustainability metrics. Users can explore a range of factors, including food security, health inclusion, electric vehicle readiness, and environmental policies across various global regions.

This capability allows business executives and government officials to assess regional sustainability risks, identify investment opportunities, and formulate strategies tailored to local realities. The tool also features a dynamic interactive globe that enables users to compare these metrics between countries and cities, enhancing decision-making at all levels of governance and business.

Sector-Specific Solutions

Beyond regional comparisons, the Sustainability Atlas offers deep sectoral analysis, specifically for industries such as energy, finance, manufacturing, and retail. For instance, energy companies can benchmark their emissions performance, while regulatory teams can identify urgent sustainability challenges to address in their policy frameworks.

“The Sustainability Atlas, powered by Infosys Topaz, is not just a tool to help businesses navigate today’s environmental challenges,” said Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP at Infosys. “We envision the Atlas evolving into a global intelligence network, guiding collaborative action toward a thriving, resilient world.”

Real-Time, Data-Driven Decisions

The tool’s AI-driven insights position it as a powerful asset for leaders seeking to make informed, future-proof decisions. By combining the extensive expertise of both organizations, The Sustainability Atlas serves as a comprehensive platform for sustainable development at a global scale.

With coverage across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, the Atlas is designed to empower decision-makers worldwide, offering a strategic portal for addressing critical sustainability issues and accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future.
